On June 19, the Auditorium of Caser’s headquarters in Madrid hosted the presentation of diplomas to the members of the 40under40 list in the 2024 edition, including Cristian Mateos, Senior Underwriter & Partner at IBERIAN.
This is an initiative promoted by the Association of Young Insurance Professionals (AJPS) and INESE to identify and recognize professionals under the age of 40 who will lead the Spanish insurance industry in the coming years.
After the welcome as host – through its director of Communication and its foundation, Juan Sitges – the president of the AJPS, Andrés Quiles, and the director general of INESE, Susana Pérez, detailed that this is the fifth edition of a list, “which are neither awards nor a ranking, that aims to be a lever of motivation and commitment to the sector, while serving to show the attractiveness of the different profiles in the industry.”
In this way, they remarked that this year 383 proposals have been received, endorsing 253 professionals; there have been 63 more proposals than last year and 51 more professionals evaluated. The figures show the growing importance of young talent in the sector and particularly the generational change that is so necessary in any industry.
“Receiving this recognition from the sector is an honor, but not only from a personal and professional point of view, but also because it recognizes IBERIAN’s commitment to a young and talented team that I am proud to lead, after almost a decade, together with Dario Spata. I would also like to congratulate the other award-winning professionals who are the future, but also the present, of our sector,” says Mateos.
It is worth remembering that Spata, CEO of IBERIAN, has also been recognized with this award in previous years.
